In Odessa region on the Danube river found the bodies of pigs: works anti-epidemic Commission

KIEV. 9 Aug. UNN. In the city of Reni of Odessa region, on the banks of the Danube, found several dead pigs. This was reported by the press service of the Reni district state administration, reports UNN.

Discovery has become the reason for local officials to create an emergency anti-epizootic Commission. The previous meeting of the Commission took place on 7 August.

It is unknown what killed the animals. The conclusion of the examination of biological material of the pig is not ready yet.

It is not excluded that the cause of death of animals was the African swine fever (ASF). Therefore, the bodies of animals were disposed of.

Note that last year in Ukraine there were 145 cases of ASF to about 40.

According to the politician Sergey Trigubenko, the controllers, in the face of Gospodarevskaya, inefficient and unprofessional resist the virus, and therefore Ukrainian farmers for the sixth year in a row continue to suffer millions in losses.
