In Odessa region increased the number of patients with measles

“Measles is a highly contagious infectious disease, when in contact non-vaccinated individuals with a sick — 8 out of 10 people get sick. Two children (2 and 3 years) were not vaccinated, died from pneumonia following measles at the Odessa regional children’s hospital. Currently undergoing clinical expert in treatment of these cases, the results of which will be made final conclusions”, – said the head of the regional Department of health Vyacheslav Polesny.
In 2016, only 42% of babies under one year and 28% of children under six years old were vaccinated against measles. This is a very low figure, despite the fact that Odessa region were fully supplied with vaccines from the disease. This Belgian drug is available in all medical institutions of the region.
