In Odessa region frontier guards have stopped attempt of contraband of alcohol

KIEV. April 6. UNN. On Tuesday, April 4, in the Odessa region near the border, the border guards together with employees of the local Prosecutor’s office, the SFS and the SBU detained the car, which was carrying barrels and canisters with probably counterfeit alcohol. About it reports Department of interaction from mass media of administration of State border service of Ukraine, reports UNN.

So, on the eve of the operational staff of the state border service received information on the possible movement of contraband alcoholic beverages. Therefore, the possible ways of travel were blocked in advance.

“During the inspection of the vehicle police found in the car except the driver was the organizer of illicit movement of the goods. In addition, barrels and cans which were transported by truck was filled with brown liquid with a characteristic smell of alcohol, which is probably adulterated brandy. The total amount of the identified liquid has reached 4 thousand 600 liters”, – stated in the message.

During the subsequent working of area law enforcement officers found three men in the car “VAZ”, which is likely to have provided contraband movement of alcohol.

“Now, “GAZ-66″ and fluid is withdrawn, and the cost is nearly 600 000 UAH”, – stated in the message.

Proceed quickly-investigative actions. Information on this fact are brought in eRDR under article 204 of the criminal code.

As reported UNN, according to experts, the share of shadow vodka market in the country is over 80%.

At the same time, the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of economic development and the SFS took responsibility for the fight against the shadow market of alcohol.
