In Odessa, the police stopped the activities of an international group of drug traffickers, drugs seized 2 million UAH.

As reported the UNIAN in Department of counteraction of narcocrime of national police, the group exposed the employees of this Department, together with representatives of the Main investigation Department under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General.

“The group consisted of five residents of the Odessa region aged 36 to 39 years. It was organized by an Israeli citizen, who lived for some time in different EU countries. Using established there in the sphere of drug trafficking, the attacker has organized the illicit channel of delivery of cocaine, MDMA (ecstasy) on a large scale from Europe to Ukraine”, – told the police.

Accomplices the organizer carried out the sale of drugs on the territory of Ukraine. Drug traffickers met with buyers of goods in restaurants. In this case for conspiracy, they provided covert surveillance of potential customers.

For the purpose of documenting malefactors field investigators carried out several stages of the operational procurement and more than a dozen authorized searches in the places of residence of the defendants and in their cars.

In a special operation members of the group seized more than 1.5 thousand of Ecstasy pills, 500 grams of cocaine, 200 grams of amphetamine and more than 2 kg of selected elite varieties of cannabis.

The cost of the withdrawn consignment of drugs and psychotropic substances, which is almost 40 thousand doses of the drug, at prices on the black market is about 2 million hryvnia.

In addition, the attackers seized the pistols of traumatic action with the ammunition, knives and gas canisters, as well as Executive class cars.

Defendants announced on suspicion of involvement in the criminal offense under part 3 St. 307 criminal code of Ukraine (illegal sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances) and the measure of restraint in form of detention. Under the legislation, offenders face up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Earlier UNIAN reported that during a special operation in Mukachevo detained a group of drug dealers with guns, knives and a bat. Militiamen exposed illegal transaction four. In the apartments of the defendants carried out searches during which were withdrawn the evidence of their involvement in the manufacture and distribution of drugs in the region.
