In Odessa, have achieved the dismantling of the memorial stone Zhukov

In Odessa the authorities were forced to clean up the memorial stone to Marshal Georgy Zhukov. About it reports Radio Freedom.

Stone Avenue, formerly known by the name of Zhukov, on the eve of the established supporters of the banned Communist party. On it was the inscription: “Here is a monument to Marshal of Victory, hero of the Soviet Union G. K. Zhukov from grateful veterans and residents of the hero city Odessa, with the support of the CC of the Communist party”.

After the dispute the opponents of the establishment of the memorial stone with the police arrived at the scene, public utilities and dismantled the stone.

April 28, Primorsky district court of Odessa has canceled adopted on 26 April, the decision of the Odessa city Council about renaming of the previously decommunization streets and lanes, part of which was going to bring back the old names.
