In Odessa foreigners suspected of extortion $ 100 thousand

KIEV. 5 Aug. UNN. In Odessa, two citizens of the countries of Transcaucasia declared suspicion in extortion of 100 thousand U.S. dollars. About it UNN reported in the Department of communication of the regional police.

So, the citizens of the countries of the Caucasus, acting in the interests of his countrymen, the so-called thief in law, tried with the help of a lawyer to enter into the illegal transaction. Having been refused, they demanded as “compensation” of 100 thousand U.S. dollars.

Operatives of Department of strategic investigation and detectives of the investigation Department, acting under the procedural management of Prosecutor’s office of Odessa region, detained extortioners, with the transfer of the money from the victim.

Both men declared suspicion in Commission of crime under part 4 St. 189 (extortion) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. Until the election of a preventive measure they were arrested.

In addition, the issue of entering of data in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations under article 146 of the criminal code (unlawful deprivation of liberty).
