The destroyer Carney DDG64 will be in town until January 11
In the port of Odessa moored the USS Carney DDG64, becoming the first allied warship to visit Ukraine in the new year. It is reported by the Duma.
In July 2017, the destroyer took part in international exercises Sea Breeze 2017, during which a plane was raised by President Petro Poroshenko.
The ship will stay in Odessa until January 11. The command of the 6th fleet of the US Navy reports that the purpose of the visit of the ship — the conduct of operations to ensure Maritime security and strengthening preparedness and the combined Maritime capabilities of allies and partners of NATO.
