In Odessa died a famous film Director
Vadim Kostromenko is one of the oldest and largest masters of Russian cinema
In Odessa on 84 passed away Vadim Kostromenko – known Ukrainian Director, cinematographer, screenwriter, writer, Honored worker of arts of Ukraine, Director of Ukraine’s only Museum of cinema. It is reported in Facebook the Odessa branch of the National Union of cinematographers of Ukraine.
“Gone from the life of Vadim V. Kostromenko. One of the oldest and largest masters of Russian cinema, it was 60 years ago he came to Odessa at the end of VGIK and since that summer day his whole life was connected with Odessa with our Studio. Starting as an operator, he continued to work as a movie Director, and a lot of his movies have become true classics of the Ukrainian cinema and television”, – stated in the publication.
For years, Kostromenko directed the film Museum at the Odessa branch of the National Union of cinematographers of Ukraine, consistently interesting was his television stories about our gadgets.

Repeatedly Vadim V. was elected Chairman of the Odessa branch of NCCG for a long period he was a Board member and Secretary of the National Union of cinematographers of Ukraine.
Serious illness pursued, Kostromenko lately, but still he remained true to himself and to the cause that decades ago was the cause of his life, continuing and Museum activities, and mentoring, and work on a new book, and shooting in movies.
Farewell to Vadim V. Kostromenko will be held on Friday, November 3, at 11:00 at the Odessa film Studio.
