In Odessa detained the man for the Communist flag on the car

Sunday, may 7, in Odessa police detained the man, whose car’s foreign registration was the flag with the Communist symbols. About it reported in Department of National police in the Odessa region.

The police say that 29-year-old detainee broke the ban on public use of Communist symbols – the flag was a red star and the hammer and sickle and the inscription “Patriotic war”.

A criminal case under article 436-1 of the Criminal code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for the production, the spread of Communist, Nazi symbols and propaganda of the Communist and national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes.

The detainee could face restriction or deprivation of liberty for a term up to 5 years.
