The conflict happened because of the red paint / photo of the Duma

Today near the building of Consulate General of Russia in Odessa during a rally in support of captured Ukrainian military seamen, police detained two activists who were attempting to douse the building with red paint.

As UNIAN correspondent, this morning, about 60 representatives of the Ukrainian Patriotic organizations gathered at the Gagarin plateau, where the Russian Consulate General.

They attached to the railings of the fence, the flag of naval forces of VSU, expressed support for the sailors, captured in the Kerch Strait.

Known Odessa activist Todor Panofsky took the jar of red paint, symbolizing the blood of Ukrainians, and intended to pour it on the wall of the building. However, attending the police (several dozen people) was prevented from doing so.

Panofsky began to resist when he “twisted” the police, the Bank was open, and its contents spilled out onto the road, activists and some police shoes.

The result Panofsky put in a police car and taken away. Also, as explained UNIAN participants of the action, for the same reason, arrested activist Alexander Smolyaninov.

The protest action near the Consulate continued. Activists chanted: “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!”, and lit fireworks with yellow and blue smoke, symbolizing the flag of Ukraine. On the road near the Consulate spilled ink flowed, stain a large area, which creates the effect of blood.

The protesters said that today came to the Russian Embassy since 15 January “in Russia is the trial of our guys.”

As UNIAN reported earlier, on the morning of 25 November 2018 Russia blocked the passage in the Kerch Strait tug “Yana Kapu” and boats “Berdyansk” and “Nikopol”, which carried out a planned transition from Odessa to Mariupol. When you exit the Kerch Strait, the Russian ships opened fire on defeat on the Ukrainian ships, which were returning to Odessa, and have not received information about the possibility of crossing the Strait.

The invaders captured Ukrainian soldiers 24. Three of them were injured. The Ukrainians were accused of illegally crossing the border of the Russian Federation (part 3 article 322 of the Russian criminal code, the punishment of deprivation of liberty for a term up to six years). All the prisoners were arrested the so-called “court” in the Crimea, then moved to Moscow SIZO “Lefortovo” and “sailor’s silence”.

Today, January 15, Lefortovsky district court of Moscow satisfied the petition of the investigation and began considering the extension of detention of the sailors behind closed doors.
