In Odessa, about 500 people held a rally near the city Council building demanding the resignation of the mayor and the dissolution of the city Council in connection with the tragedy in children’s camp “Victoria”. It is reported by the Duma.
Around the building is concentrated a large number of police officers and national guard. In the area of Dumskaya square about 500 security forces.
Presentations were made by the leader of the Odessa cell of Freedom, the former people’s Deputy Pavel Kirilenko. He said that after the tragedy at camp “Victoria” the mayor Gennady Trukhanov should resign and the city Council to disband.
In just a few minutes after the start of the meeting between the participants and police officers, a fight broke out due to the fact that one of the activists came to the rally in a Balaclava and refused to take it off at the request of police.
Later there was another scuffle between protesters and soldiers of the national guard, which surrounded the town hall. Activists tried to enter the courtroom but they were not allowed. Activists chanting “Trukhanov get out!” Protesters and national Guardsmen were divided by the police.
Representatives of the Liberty and National corps tried to enter the hall, but the municipal guards would not let them, citing the fact that the hall is full.
Police have detained one of the activists. Because of this, between protesters and security forces started the fight. In the course went pyrotechnics and tear gas. There are victims.
