In Nikolaev detained group of extortioners

KIEV. 4 Jan. UNN. In Nikolaev employees of the security Service of Ukraine jointly with investigators of the national police was exposed a group of criminals who specialised in extorting money from citizens. This was reported in the press center of the security Service of Ukraine, reports UNN.

“Operatives of the intelligence service established that the gang were previously convicted of similar crimes the residents of the regional center. The attackers had created an artificial conflict situation, for the “settlement,” which required the funds from citizens, including individual entrepreneurs. In case of refusal, the bandits threatened the victim with physical violence”, – stated in the message.

Note that one of the members of law enforcement groups arrested in the center of Nikolaev at the time of obtaining “debt” in the amount of nearly fifty-five thousand hryvnias from the local merchant.

Also add that the criminal proceedings in which investigations are conducted to establish all the circumstances of illegal activity.

As reported UNN, earlier in Kiev law enforcement authorities detained the swindler who deceived people on more than 670 thousand UAH, and 260 thousand dollars.
