KIEV. March 15. UNN. In the Latvian city Ventspils ensemble balalaika from Russia “Ryazan accordion” was arrested onstage during a concert. It is reported by UNN citing local media.
“We played for the Russian-speaking community of Ventspils. Congratulated women on March 8. It turned out that we violated two laws: the state — banning of the Communist celebration of the holidays and the city of banning balalaika, which was adopted on 9 may 2017. The police interrupted our speech and led us from the stage. Very sorry, “Apple” was our biggest hit,” reported the local press artistic Director of the ensemble Joseph Shmulevich.
