In Latvia, during the rally Liepaja crashed helicopter. One person died, three were hospitalized, reports “Interfax”.
The incident occurred in Riga, in the parish Gramzdas, reports Delfi. The incident occurred during the final stage of the rally. Judging by the published photos from the scene, crashed helicopter belonged to the Latvian company Baltic Helicopters. The company offered viewers rally “Liepaja” flights in the Robinson R44 helicopter, designed for a pilot and three passengers.

According to the radio station Kurzemes radio, the helicopter crashed on a plowed field 20 m from the road shortly after takeoff. It happened near the finish line of the 11th high-speed rally stage, and this part of the route was closed.
Rescuers at the scene they recovered from a crashed helicopter four people and handed them over to the medics. One died, two others hospitalized in serious condition, one in moderate condition.
“Interfax” specifies, that in the Latvian register of civil aircraft including some helicopters Robinson R44, they released no earlier than 2006.
