Oktyabrsky district court of Kharkiv has convicted three men of committing a number of terrorist acts on the territory of the city and region. About it reports a press-service of the regional Prosecutor’s office.
According to the report, two attackers – 36 and 38-year – old Kharkiv pleaded not guilty and refused to cooperate with the investigation. The court has appointed punishment in the form of 11 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The third accused, 28-year-old male, pleaded guilty and sincerely repented. He received 6 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
In Prosecutor’s office reminded that we are talking about a series of terrorist attacks in the period from September 2014 to March 2015. Among them: the attack of Ordzhonikidze and Frunzensky district of Kharkov commissioners (September 2014), terror attacks at train stations “Zalyutino” (October 2014), “Shebelinka” (January 2015) and “Novozhenova” (March 2015), the shelling of the office of the private legal institutions (September 2014) and Harbouring (January 2015).
In addition, the attacker was charged with the finished attempt at a terrorist attack on the depot in October 2014. Then, by luck, didn’t work neither of the two RPG-22, of which the men were planning to shoot the Prosecutor noted.
The verdict has not yet entered into force because the time for appeal.
March 8, detained the head of the Center for the release of prisoners the Officer corps of Vladimir Ruban. In the SBU stated that he had prepared a large-scale terrorist attack.
