In Kharkov, police raided the editorial office of 057.ua

In Kharkiv, the police raided the office of one of the news Internet sites in the case of the use of labour without proper registration. About it reports a press-service GU of the national police in the Kharkiv region.

“The seized documents for the employment of persons without proper registration, cash and electronic media”, – is told in the message.

The police said that carry out pre-judicial investigation on criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 172 (gross violation of labor legislation) of the criminal code.

“According to the data obtained from the SFS in the Kharkiv region, the company is engaged in business activities in the field of data processing and placing information on web sites, uses the work of not properly executed hired professionals and pay them wages without reflection in the tax and accounting”, – stated in the message.

The police said that, according to the owner the reports in the SFS, it is established that the enterprise officially employs only 7 employees. “However interrogated during the pretrial investigation, as witnesses 12 people explained that they actually worked for the company without formal employment and have confirmed receiving a salary in “envelope” in the amount of from 5000 to 15000 UAH”, – stated in the message of national police.

It stressed that during the search, any obstacles to work the Internet site appeared, his activities did not stop.

When the police noted that “the functioning of the site and their professional activities in no way is the subject of preliminary investigation”.

Meanwhile, the Kharkiv publishing 057.ua said pressure and persecution.

“The only independent online publishing of Kharkiv website of the city 057.ua – the pressure is on. Today in the editorial office were searched. The work of the independent online media is paralyzed. Computers and other office equipment seized,” reads the statement of the website.
