As informs Department of communication of the police in Kharkiv region, according to information released on 21 June in social networks, the unknown distributed Kharkiv boxes of medicines on behalf of one of candidates in people’s deputies.
“Citizens regard it as an attempt to affect the achievement of the voters of the district No. 169 of their voting rights during voting in the parliamentary elections and get people to vote for a particular candidate,” – said in the message.
On this fact the investigator of the Kyiv police Department opened criminal proceedings under part 4 of article 160 (bribery of voters, referendum participants) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. The sanction of article provides imprisonment for the term from 5 to 7 years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term from 1 to 3 years.
It also reminds that since the beginning of the election campaign by the police of Kharkiv region was registered on 18 reports of violations of the law on elections of people’s deputies of Ukraine. Currently, the verification of information contained in the statements.
Note that since the beginning of the election campaign to the Verkhovna Rada as of 13 June police officers received 75 reports of violations.
