In Kharkov sued the claims about cancellation of decisions of the Executive Committee of the city Council about raising the fares on metro, trolley buses and trams.

About this on his page in Facebook said the Deputy of the Kharkov city Council, member of the public organization “Kharkov anti-corruption center” Igor Cherniak.

“Two lawsuits on cancellation of decisions of Executive Committee are submitted to the court. Along with statements regarding the suspension of new rates pending resolution of the dispute on the merits”, – he wrote.

Cherniak added that the Board’s decision to increase fares was signed by the Secretary of the Kharkov city Council Alexander Novak, even though the law is a direct responsibility of the mayor Gennady Kernes.

“And everything would be fine. Well, would come up with any vacation or sick leave issued. However, on the same day Kernes signed two orders! That is actually the mayor February 6, performed their duties, and then had to sign and the decision of the Executive Committee!”, – added Chernyak.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in Kharkiv on 7 February, the cost of travel in the metro grew by UAH 3 to 8 UAH for a ride in trams and trolleybuses at 2 UAH – UAH 6.
