In Istanbul launch unmanned metro line
The completed line will consist of 16 stations
On Friday 15 December in Istanbul, will open its first fully automated line metro, which will run unmanned trains. It is reported by the European true with reference to the Hurriyet Daily News.
The first phase of the metro line on the Asian side of the city will be opened by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
About 10.5 km 20-km metro line from Istanbul to Umraniye opened on Friday, the rest will launch in June 2018.
The completed line will consist of 16 stations and when fully functioning will be able to transport about 700 million passengers daily.
A feature of the new metro line that is the first unmanned line in the country.
