Kostenchuk allegedly offered 5 million UAH Tymoshenko for refusal to participate in elections

Press Secretary of the PGO Andrei Lysenko announced the arrest of the Chairman of one of political parties attempting to bribe a presidential candidate Yuri Tymoshenko. He reported about it in Facebook.

According to him, the detention took place while granting one of the people’s deputies of Ukraine, the candidate in Presidents of Ukraine, funds for the latter’s refusal to participate in presidential elections.

“The above-named person, together with another citizen of Ukraine, acting intentionally, by prior agreement among themselves, illegally persuaded the candidate in Presidents of Ukraine to waive participation in the presidential elections to be held 31.03.2019, by writing a statement to the Central election Commission about the withdrawal of his candidacy, and offered him for refusing to participate in the elections as a reward cash in the amount of 5 million UAH”, – I wrote to Lysenko.

Press Secretary of the PGO added that presidential candidate, “knowing that attackers his deliberate actions encouraged him to commit the crimes addressed with the corresponding statement to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine”.

According to theБабель detained was the head of the “Party of the defenders of Ukraine” Taras Kostaschuk. Together with another man, Alexander Ishchenko, he tried to persuade Yuri Tymoshenko to refuse from participating in elections for 5 million.

Kostenchuk, is a former fighter of ATO battalion “Donbass”. Some time was assistant Deputy Seeds Semenchenko on voluntary basis.

He submitted documents for registration as a presidential candidate, but was refused. The reason was the point of the program about the death penalty for officials-korruptsionerov.
