Groisman wants to increase military pensions from January 2018

To conduct a recalculation of pensions to the military personnel already on 1 January 2018. This was stated by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman at a government meeting on 13 December, reports Ukrainian Pravda.

He said that the government has developed proposals for the revision of pensions to military men and 13 December will be handed over to the national security Council.

“Today we are proposals would give the national security Council – because it is a question of servicemen on the level of the President and the national security Council we find the following solutions which can be adopted by the Parliament. And from January 1, I am convinced that this can be done to military retirees received a recalculation of pensions, ” – said Groisman.

He added that the government proposes to conduct a review of pensions for 550 thousand military pensioners and to state that the indexation of pensions will occur automatically.

“We expect that military pensions should be more than ordinary pensions of the military personnel. I am convinced that the increase in pensions for military retirees should not be less than average on 1,5 thousand hryvnia. But, of course, that military pensions should be significantly more,” – said Groisman.


Recall that Ukraine has stopped paying 500 thousand pensioners, who returned to ORDA.
