It is the flame from the burning of stubble that spread due to wind and heat outside of farmland, has caused large-scale forest fires that occurred in the Novoaydarsky region of the Luhansk region, said Deputy Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko, reports Диалог.UA.

According to Gerashchenko, an agronomist Dmitry P., born in 1993 ordered before plowing the fields to burn the stubble in order to save fuel during the process of plowing.

The fact of arson revealed the military during the survey using unmanned aerial vehicle areas affected by the fire. It turned out that the agronomist has given such an instruction, believing that no one will know. He had no idea what terrible consequences may result from his carelessness.

“After harvest in the pursuit of profit and to save on fuel, many farmers prefer before plowing land to burn the stubble, absolutely not thinking about the horrible consequences to which it might lead. He thought about it nobody would know. But our military in this place was carried out over the area with a drone, recorded the fact of arson and reported it to the police”,- said Anton Gerashchenko.

In the result of grass-roots and top of the fires burned huge areas of forest damaged several settlements, killing five people, injured more than twenty.

Residents of the Luhansk region, wrote that to evacuate the inhabitants of villages located on the fire site, helping many ordinary residents of the area. People evacuated villagers and their belongings in a safe place private cars.

Earlier it was reported that a large forest fire in Luhansk occurred on 6 July near the village of Skalonivka of the Novoaydarsky area on the territory of Borovsky and Okhtyrka of the forest. Strong gusts of wind intensified forest fire, which fire very close to homes.
