Georgia started military exercises of NATO

Multinational military exercises of the Alliance the Agile Spirit 2017 will start on Sunday, September 3, in Georgia. About it reports UNIAN with reference to the press service of the Ministry of defence of Georgia.

In particular, in the Georgian port of Poti arrived 1 American Abrams tanks and armored vehicles LAV that rail needs to deliver a military training ground.

The aim of the exercise is to achieve readiness to participate in joint operations as part of rapid reaction forces of NATO. The program also will take part in the military from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Latvia, Romania and Armenia. The exercise will continue until September 11.

At the beginning of August in Georgia held large-scale military exercises Noble Partner (“Worthy partner”). In addition to the five countries – members of NATO, which was attended by partners of the Alliance – Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia.
