In connection with the explosion on the gas pipeline to Baumgarten in Austria, the gas transit through Ukraine decreased by 23% – up to 200 million cubic meters.

This was announced by adviser to the Minister of energy of Ukraine Maxim Bilyavskiy on his page in Facebook.

He also noted that the pipeline today, 13 December, was repaired.

“Baumgarten repaired! In the morning have the opportunity to restore the transportation of gas from Slovakia to Austria and then to Italy. In recent days the transit of gas through Ukraine decreased by 23% – up to 200 million cubic meters, but we’ll catch up,” wrote Bilyavskiy.

We will remind, Ukrtransgas predicts a temporary decline in the transit of Russian gas due to the explosion in Austria.
