Former Deputy chief of the police will be judged in the Sumy region

KIEV. May 30. UNN. The indictment against the former Deputy head of Shostka police Department suspected of bribery, to the court. A former police officer is threatened with imprisonment for the term from 5 till 10 years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to 3 years with confiscation of property. This is reported by UNN citing the press service of the Prosecutor of Sumy region.

“Sumy region Prosecutor’s office completed pre-trial investigation and sent to court indictment against the former Deputy head of Shostka police Department, who is accused of extortion and obtaining illegal benefit”, – is spoken in the message.

Gathered evidence that major police ordered the individual to pay him a certain amount every month for the smooth conduct of business. In particular, 21 March 2017, the businessman through the intermediary handed to the police 7 thousand UAH.

At the request of the Prosecutor’s office has dismissed a police officer the measure of restraint in the form of partial house arrest. Actions accused are qualified under part 3 St. 368 (extortion and obtaining illegal benefit by the official) Criminal code of Ukraine.
