The picturesque Swiss city of Lucerne, located at the foot of the Alps, 31 may – 2 June, taking the championship among the strongest masters rowing of the Old world.

Here on the same lake they will play sets of awards in all traditional classes of boats.

From our country at this continental regatta ready to perform 23 academics of the 14 men and 9 women. They will compete in nine categories: representatives of a strong half of the national team of Ukraine – five and beautiful and not weak – in four.

Last year at the European Championships in Glasgow, Scotland our compatriots won two medals. Silver then became the crew of the quadruple sculls in the composition Darina Skygazer, Elena Buriak, Anastasia and Eugenia Kozhenkova Dovgodko. And bronze in the singles went to Diana Dymchenko. The last of these winners again reasonably hopes to get a reward of continental coinage, and higher dignity.

Expects once again to ascend to the European podium, even at the gold level, and women’s Quartet, in which, instead of the beet row is the most experienced of our “academics” Yana Dementieva. And that is a real prophecy. Because, after all, and Kozhenkova and Dementieva – Olympic champion-2012 world Champions and multiple gold medalist of Europe in this class. And Eugene Dovgodko with Skygazer, except for last year’s continental silver, in 2016, was awarded the European bronze.

Of course, a very high chance to conquer the pedestal of the Old world and has a seasoned crew men’s quadruple sculls. In its structure it is going to make world Cup 2014, the holders of planetary bronze 2018 and medals all continental samples Dimitri Mihai, Olexandr Nadtoka and Ivan Dovgodko and fit into last year in their world bronze the crew elder Sergiy Gryn. The one whose collection of awards is the bronze medal of the 2004 Games, world silver medals in 2006 and each of the European advantages.

It can reach the continental podium and both women’s deuces. This applies to steam, which together with the Olympic champion of London’s legendary Quartet Natalia Dovgodko is a young and talented champion Kateryna Dudchenko. And, even more so, the winners can expect the crew swing the twos, composed of the already mentioned Elena Buriak and her partner Oksana Golub. By the way, the beet – they were already the Champions and runners-up of Europe, participated in two Olympic games, the last one in Rio was part of a pair of Quartet, took the high fourth place. Plus Elena is a multiple champion and world record-holder and Europe on rowing Ergometers. Blue in wing two was the bronze medalist of the continent-in 2013 and in last year’s fourth.

As for our three men’s tandems, each of them shall be entitled to rely, at least to get into the main finals of the “A”. Lightweights Igor Khmara and Stanislav Kovalov, who are in deuce hinged at the European championship in 2018 have taken a worthy sixth place. They are two of the World summer Universiade became silver medalists.

In the same class, but not among the lightweights, a partner of world champion of 2004 and a multiple medalist of the European Anton Kolesnikov will be his namesake Bondarenko – silver medalist of the youth world, world champion and World games in rowing on the Ergometers. And the crew of the steam room consists of two silver medalist of 2012 European and world summer Universiade-2013 Yuri Ivanov and the owner of medals of all national samples Nicholas Kalashnik.

Finally, the four wing company experienced continent winner-2011 in eight Artem Moroz will be national Champions. Roman Piven, Mr Hum and Maxim Baklazhenko. If they’re going to get the main finals it will be a pleasant surprise. And why not?

Good luck, on lake Lucerne, our academics. Seven feet under the keel!..
