The Ministry of foreign Affairs no violations found / photo Unionukraine Embassy in Mexico have charged that it demands money from local citizens during the visa application.

This was openly stated by two Mexicans in Kiev, says the story TSN.

The lawyer Carlos Eduardo Soto Trevino often comes to Ukraine, because he has a wife and a business. He appealed to journalists to investigate his problem – the Ukrainian Embassy in Mexico Consul before resolving visa issues allegedly demands to hand over money for needs of the Ukrainian army.

“Three times when I applied for a visa when the process began, they showed a sheet on which is written the letter and she asks you to write the same, which says that you make a charitable contribution in the amount of 80-100 dollars in the hands of the Consul or somebody else in the Embassy, and then you will get the visa. Of course, paid for the visa separately,” explained the Mexican.

Mr Soto says that visa issues at the Consulate Anna the Prophet. Each time the visa has cost Carlos a hundred dollars, but the amount of the contribution is voluntary, but has certain limits – from $ 80. “She, Anna the Prophet, says to write this letter personally and give the money to charity without a receipt,” he says.

Another Mexican Sergio peña Serrano confirms that the Embassy at the stand of “Information” is really hanging sample letters donations.

“On the table lay the form of a letter, which had to be reproduced, that I voluntarily donate money to Donbass”, – he said.

Sergio says that he was disturbed by such Intrusive calls to the charity. “The Consul said, that is irrelevant to this document, then I responded that they should pick it up from the consular section. I asked what’s this paper? She said: I don’t know!”, – said the Mexican, and added that nothing did not pay.

However, when it came time to pick up the visa, Sergio was not allowed in the Embassy. “For the visa I paid personally into the hands of the Consul, not through the Bank. Any cheque not received. It was very strange. She wouldn’t let me go, and took the money in the back yard of the Embassy,” says the man.

The journalists managed to get through to the Consul of Ukraine in Mexico, Anna the Prophet. First, she said she knows nothing about the charity: “This can not be. I such a case I don’t know.” With the third call the lady Consul still remembered something: “If the citizens hand over money to the ATO – it is their own business, not mine.”

The Ministry of foreign Affairs has begun check of the request of journalists, but no violations found. It turns out that the money for the needs of troops collected in 2014.

“I must tell you that this is a voluntary program, therefore, the initiative of individual staff members expressed a desire to form these funds and transfer them to Kiev military hospital for treatment of the military who were in the combat zone,” – said the Deputy Director of the consular service of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasily Kirilich.

According to our data, the Ukrainian Embassy in Mexico at the request of the Ministry of foreign Affairs reported on the funds collected – for today this sum has exceeded 5 thousand dollars. The funds, according to diplomats, deliver diplomatic mail. We phoned a dozen other dipuchrezhdeny with the question of whether they encourage foreign citizens to chip in on the war in Ukraine, but mostly everyone is silent. Responded only at the Embassy of Ukraine in Lebanon – where the money consular section does not collect. “We can’t combine with the issuance of visas. It will look like a hint to pay for the visa,” explained the local Ambassador.

The beneficiary of the Mexican assistance should be the capital hospital, where the information is not confirmed. Volunteers also don’t know about Mexican philanthropists that collect through the hospital. “From your lips we first heard this, frankly. Itself has become interesting”, – said the representatives of the “Volunteer hundred”.

Journalists sent the foreign Ministry an additional request with an offer to conduct an internal investigation.

We will remind, in the beginning of April 2018 at the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine has declared the registration of the first electronic visas for foreigners wishing to visit Ukraine.
