Dry grass fire recorded in six regions of Ukraine

“In recent years, due to rising temperatures, cases of burning of a population of dry vegetation in the gardens and backyards. This usually leads to fires in open territories of their own homes, the forests and steppe zones, which can develop into large-scale fires”, – is spoken in the message.
During the last weeks cases of ignition of dry grass and shrubs were recorded in the Zhytomyr, Poltava, Mykolaiv, Luhansk, Cherkasy and Kyiv regions.
To eliminate fires, the area which sometimes is more than 200 square meters, were involved as rescuers State fire and rescue parts of the areas, and representatives of the local voluntary fire brigade.
With the aim of preventing cases of emergence of fires in natural ecosystems, the specialists of Antimonopoly carry out explanatory work among the population. In addition, the staff of the rescue Services drew the attention of the citizens that the unauthorized burning of dry vegetation or its residues can bear administrative responsibility.
In the SES urged people to strictly observe the rules of fire safety and not to provoke fires in natural ecosystems. First of all, you should not burn dry grass and debris on private land, open fires next to the outbuildings, and leave cigarette butts and matches in the dry grass litter.
