Defender of the Moscow “Spartak” Georgy Jikia believes that the season-2019/20 Russian Premier League (RPL) can play for a month and a half.

“45 days is enough to finish the RPL. All the Russian clubs are already banned from European competitions. Because quietly for 40-45 days to finish playing, for example, once every five days. There is still the Cup of Russia, Yes, but there is already the semi-final stage — that is, each team may conduct a maximum of two games,” said Jikia in conversation with commentator Nobel Arustamian live in Instagram.

The RPL championship was suspended after the 22-th round of the pandemic coronavirus.
