KIEV. 18 Feb. UNN. Previously detained at Amsterdam airport the journalist “the New newspaper” Elena Milashina and employee of the “Memorial” Milan Bachevo was released after a hour and a half conversation in the border police. It is reported by UNN citing “Novaya Gazeta”.
“Correspondent “New”, passing on an arrival the border control at Amsterdam airport, was looking for a companion — the employee of “Memorial” Milan Bachevo. To Bagaevoy frontier guards had questions. Then Milashina was asked to show her return ticket. E-ticket was Milashina in the phone, the correspondent of “Novaya” said a police officer. Then the police took the phone of the journalist, depriving her of the opportunity to connect with colleagues. Then both companions were detained and taken to a separate room for conversation”, – writes the edition.

The press-Secretary of border police said that I wasn’t detained, it was a standard event guards when the passenger is not immediately able to answer questions.
