Defense will return a site near Odessa, rented to the farmers

The property of the Ministry of defence will return to earth Tarutino military polygon in the Odessa region, which were illegally seized by local authorities and leased to the farmers. About it reports a press-service of the Prosecutor General.

In 2006 Tarutinskiy district administration has seized 400 hectares of land of a former landfill and gave them a long term lease to a farm for the cultivation of agricultural products. The market value of the seized land is more than 11 million UAH, noted in GPU.

The military Prosecutor’s office of Belgorod-Dniester garrison filed a lawsuit demanding to cancel the decision on withdrawal of land. 26 June 2017 the economic court of Odessa region satisfied the claim, recognising the disposal of Tarutino RGA is void and canceled it.

April 7, 2017 it was reportedthat the court returned to the state military camp in Kharkov, illegally transferred to private hands.
