KIEV. March 22. UNN. Dancer Sergei Polunin, recently received the Russian citizenship, is artistic Director of the ballet school, which will be built in annexed Crimea. He told about it at a creative meeting, reports UNN with reference to TASS.
“I haven’t told: I became artistic Director, will build a new ballet school in Sevastopol. This is a new step for me, I’ll see how the educational system will be built and be a part of this system,” – said the dancer.
As recalled by the Agency, Sergei Polunin at the age of 19 became the youngest Prime Minister in the history of the Royal ballet in London. From 2012 to 2016 he was Prime Minister of the Moscow musical theatre of a name of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko and guest soloist of the Novosibirsk Opera and ballet theatre. 2017 – the invited soloist of Bavarian State ballet in Munich. Polunin – the winner of the program “Bolshoi ballet” on TV channel “Culture” in the nomination “the Best dancer” (2012), winner of the prize “Soul of dance”, winner of the National award “Golden mask” (2014).
However, his education in choreography Polunin, a native of Kherson, obtained in Ukraine – first in his native town, and then at the Kiev choreographic school.
