Cyprus informed the Ukrainians that the effect of trips on “Turkish part”
Uncategorized December 12, 2017The Ukrainians who travel with biometric passports and will visit the Turkish occupied part of Cyprus will be refused entry to the territory of the island. It warned tourists of the Embassy of Cyprus, reports the Department of tourism and resorts of Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine.
“From official sources it became known that the cases of entry of tourists from Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus with the subsequent location in the occupied territory of the island”, – is spoken in the message.
The Embassy notes that the illegal authorities in the occupied territories continues to actively use and development of infrastructure and real estate, which is still in the ownership of the Greek Cypriots, and “were improperly selected or assigned since the invasion”.
The report also says that in the future all applications of Ukrainians to receive entry visas whose purpose of stay on the island will stay, or participation in official events in the occupied territories, will not be considered.
The Turkish invasion of Cyprus launched on 20 July 1974. Turkey used the term “peacekeeping Operation in Cyprus”, the code name “Operation Attila”. The invasion took place in the last days of the reign in Greece the regime of “black colonels”.
