Contact at the highest level will contribute to the signing of the agreement between Ukraine and Britain – Ministry of foreign Affairs
KIEV. April 30. UNN. Thursday had a telephone conversation with Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yegor Bozhko with the parliamentary under-Secretary of state for foreign and Commonwealth Nations of the UK for European neighbourhood and America, parliamentary under Secretary of state for international development Wendy Morton, during which the parties raised the issue of the negotiation process on bilateral agreement on partnership and free trade between countries. This reports the press service of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine, reports UNN.
“The high-level contacts between Kyiv and London will contribute to the early completion of negotiations on a bilateral partnership agreements and free trade”, – quotes Bozhko, the press service.
The diplomat noted that the sides expressed hope for early completion of the preparations for the signing of the agreement on political cooperation, free trade and partnership between Ukraine and the UK, which, despite quarantine, continues through diplomatic channels.
It is reported that the sides also exchanged the latest information on the epidemiological situation in Ukraine and the UK, as well as the steps aimed at consolidating international efforts to combat coronavirus and its implications.
During the discussion of the situation in the Eastern regions and on the territory of temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Yegor Bozhok said neobhodimosti of maintaining sanctions pressure on Russia against the background of continuing aggression against our country.
The Ukrainian diplomat thanked the British side for its consistent support of Ukraine and practical assistance in critical areas.
Wendy Morton assured in readiness of the United Kingdom to continue to support Ukraine, which she will continue to give serious personal attention.
Yegor Bozhok invited Wendy Morton to visit Ukraine to witness the results of the already implemented UK projects of assistance to Ukraine, including the recovery of the victims of Russian aggression in regions of our state, and discussion of possible new initiatives.
As reported UNN, earlier today the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.
