Clashes over the status of Jerusalem: two killed and 760 injured

During the protests against the recognition of Donald trump Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, which are along Gaza’s border with Israel on December 8, two people were killed and at least 760 were wounded. Protests also broke out in other Muslim countries, including Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Tunisia.

Hamas has promised to arrange a December 9 “day of wrath”.

Since 1967, the General Assembly and the UN security Council adopted several resolutions condemning the Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem and denying the city’s status as capital of the country.
