British Thomas Cook was bought by the Russian tour operator “Biblio-Globus”

British travel company Thomas Cook Group plc acquired one of the largest Russian tour operators — “Biblio-Globus”.

“Following the transaction, Thomas Cook Group plc receives 100% share of tour operator “Biblio-Globus”, — stated in the press release of the Russian company.

It is noted that the management and staff of tour operator “Biblio-Globus” remain the same.

Thomas Cook Group plc owns the Russian travel Agency “Intourist”.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Commission of the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs in the tourism and hospitality industry Yuri Barzykin in an interview with NSN commented on the proposal to subsidise tour operators.
