Bill gates will contribute to the fight against warming $315 million

The Foundation of the American billionaire founder of Microsoft bill gates will spend $315 million to help the world’s poorest countries to combat the warming, in particular on the adaptation of agriculture to climate change. About it reports UKRINFORM.

On the first day of the summit, One Planet attracted more than $600 million.

“Two-thirds of the world’s poor live in Africa and Asia. About 800 million of them are engaged in agriculture. These small farmers play a minor role in the production of carbon emissions, but they suffer from some hard impacts of climate change”, noted during the conference.

During the summit the creation of a coalition “neitronnoi carbon”.

“Its goal is to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, and effective neutralization of emissions of carbon dioxide into the air. The coalition consists of 15 countries”, – stated in the message.

The summit attended by 59 States at the Ministerial level were presented to 39 other countries.

Ukrainian delegation is headed by Minister of ecology and natural resources Ostap Semerak.

15 August it was reported that gates made the largest donation to charity in 2000.
