Berlin about Russia’s withdrawal from SCCC: Escalation will be on the conscience of Russia

If the Kremlin does not reconsider the decision on the withdrawal of Russian officers from the Joint center for control and coordination (SCCC) in the Donbass, the responsibility for possible escalation and more casualties on the East of Ukraine lies on Russia. About it the representative of the government of Germany Ulrike Demmer said at a briefing in Berlin, commenting on the recent telephone conversation Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Vladimir Putin, reports UKRINFORM.

“The Federal government hopes that the Russian side will reconsider its decision and refuse this step, otherwise, any further aggravation of the situation and related casualties will be the responsibility of Russia”, – said the speaker.

Demmer, also called the RF output of the SCCC “wrong signal”.

20 December, President Petro Poroshenko has proposed to replace the Russians in the SCCC by the representatives of Germany and France.
