The concept of air taxi Pop.Up Next was developed by Audi together with its subsidiary Italdesign and aerospace giant Airbus.
The concept is an important feature – it is modular, so it can carry passengers by land and by air. Pop.Up Next consists of three separate modules. Chassis electric power of 60 kW (80 HP) is attached to the passenger capsule, thereby forming the electric car. However, his passengers with special applications will be able at any time (for example, hopelessly stuck in traffic) to cause a flying module and United with him already in the air to arrive at the destination.
A flying module is joined with the car in its upper part. The electric car is designed to run at 50 km, the battery capacity of 70 kW. The control system presents touch screen functions, face recognition, voice and eye-tracking.
The current model of Pop.Up Next in the scale of 1:4 were presented in Amsterdam at the annual week drones, which successfully demonstrated all its functions.
