Assistance to bereaved families in the ATO increased from 500 to 750 minimum

The government has increased disposable financial assistance to the families of those killed during the ATO from 500 to 750 times the subsistence minimum for able-bodied citizens.

As transfers “Interfax-Ukraine”, the decision was taken at a government meeting on Wednesday.

In addition, the Cabinet has increased from 250 to 400 times the subsistence minimum for able-bodied one-time assistance to those who received a disability in the ATO with the establishment of the first group, with 200 to 300 times the subsistence minimum – group II, with 150 to 250 times the subsistence minimum – group III.

If earlier it was considered the subsistence minimum for able-bodied as at the date of death to the ATO or the establishment of disability, but now, on 1 January of the calendar year in which the person died or it was disability.

Thus, the government has increased the amount of aid to the families of the victims from 842 thousand UAH (the cost of living now – 1 thousand UAH 684) to 1.2 million (a living wage on January 1, 2017 – 1,6 thousand UAH).

If for two years after the initial establishment of disability when re-inspection will be set higher in this case, the difference is paid one-time assistance.

In the event of death of the person entitled to such assistance before it is received, the payment is made by body of social protection of the population in equal parts to the other members of the family or part of the inheritance.
