Armed forces of Venezuela decided to hold military exercises to protect strategic facilities
KIEV. March 14. UNN. The armed forces of Venezuela will conduct exercises on the protection of strategic objects after the massive blackouts in the country which was the result of sabotage. This was announced on Wednesday by defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez, reports UNN.
“To secure the victory of our people in the face of aggression against the system of electricity, President Nicolas Maduro ordered the Bolivarian National armed forces to conduct combined exercises Ana Karina Rote this Saturday and Sunday for the protection of people and state strategic objects”, — he wrote in Twitter.
The evening of 7 March in Caracas and most of the States of Venezuela were left without electricity. According to authorities, the cause was sabotage at the country’s largest hydroelectric Simon Bolivar in Bolivar state. According to some experts, this accident was unprecedented in scale.
As reported earlier, the Minister of communication and information Jorge rodríguez, the electricity supply was restored in almost all areas of the country.
