The Antimonopoly Committee has closed the case against the three mobile operators – Kyivstar, Vodafone and lifecell regarding the use in advertising 3G coverage wordings which may mislead consumers.

This is stated on the website of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU).

According to the report, the decision to dismiss taken in connection with the implementation of the recommendations of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine in full and in a timely fashion by all operators.

Recommendations of the AMCU has written to mobile operators in December 2018.

Reference to UNIAN. The AMC has sent the operators recommendations on abstinence from the use in advertising 3G coverage language that may not be supported by evidence and may mislead consumers. In particular, such formulations may be the use of the thesis – the maximum speed”, “most coverage”, “leader”.
