The lawyer who represents in court the interests of the driver of the Volkswagen Touareg Gennady Dronova, the second suspect in the resonant accident, which occurred on October 18 in the center of Kharkov, has filed an appeal against the decision of the Kiev regional court about election of a measure of restraint for his client. About this protector Dronova Sergey Perepelitsa said in his Facebook

Perepelitsa posted a photo of the submitted appeal.

“I believe that the definition of the investigative judge of the Kiev district court of Kharkov is biased, illegal, unfounded”, – the document says.

According to counsel, the examining magistrate’s decision violates the rights and freedoms of the individual guaranteed by the Constitution, Criminal procedural code, the Convention on the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.

18 October 2017 at about 20:40 in the center of Kharkov has occurred a large road accident: a car allegedly ran a red light and crashed into a Volkswagen Touareg, then took off on the sidewalk with pedestrians. Due to the collision killed five people, including a 15-year-old girl. Six passers-by, among them a pregnant woman, were hospitalized with injuries.
