A court in Ukraine has released the odious French “king of crooks”

A Ukrainian court has released on bail a citizen of France and Israel Gilbert of Scicli, which is one of the most notorious scams and was convicted in absentia in France for financial fraud worth millions of euros. About this informed the lawyer of the “king of crooks” David-Olivier Kaminski, reports Le Point.

It is reported that may 20, 2015, the court of Paris sentenced Scicli to seven years in prison and fined a million euros for what he stole well-known banks and enterprises, such as Alstom, HSBS, Banque postale, Crédit lyonnais, Thompson and others. The Prosecutor demanded ten years of imprisonment.

It is also said that Scicli called the company and submitted to their Director or employee of the special services and demanded large sums of money. He was able to get about eight million euros: forwarded to him even more than 52 million euros, but the transfer was blocked, another 20 million euros of the enterprise refused to transfer to his account after checks.

In 2009, he spent several months in pre-trial detention in France, and then fled to Israel. France declared him internationally wanted.

According to Le Point, a cellmate of Scicli in Ukraine was a French citizen Anthony Lazarevic, whom the French authorities find another case of fraud.
