In Odessa, the policeman was caught accepting bribes from drug addicts

KIEV. 18 Nov. UNN. Employees of SBU in Odessa region exposed the systematic bribery of the operative of criminal investigation Department of one of regional departments of the Main Directorate of Ukraine in Odessa region. Detained corrupt when receiving 400 USD in UAH equivalent, reports UNN with reference to the press-a division of the UAS.

“Operatives of the intelligence service established that the policeman demanded money from the local drug addicts for failure to prosecute for possession and sales of drugs. The cost of their “services” and the attacker was estimated from five hundred American dollars. Law enforcement officers detained a police officer on one of the Central streets of Odessa after the receipt of the next bribe in the amount of four hundred dollars in UAH equivalent”, — stated in the UAS.

Now the issue of declaring a detainee suspected of committing a crime on the grounds of part 3 of article 368 of the Criminal code of Ukraine, investigative actions are carried out to prosecute other individuals involved in illegal activities, and the election of a preventive measure.

Events in exposing the illegal actions of the police were conducted under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor’s office.

As previously reported UNN, Chairman of the Commission on the reorganization of one of the state enterprises of the Ministry of energy and coal industry of Ukraine detained on a bribe 275 thousand UAH.
