KIEV. July 27. UNN. Parliament Commissioner for human rights, Lyudmila Denisova wrote a letter to the Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova to an offer of Ukrainian political prisoners in 36 Russian citizens, reports UNN with reference to the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Ombudsman.
“Despite all the efforts of the Ukrainian representatives in the TAG, the initiative of Ukraine to release political prisoners – citizens of Ukraine, who illegally held in the Russian Federation, as well as on the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city simultaneously with the release of the 36 citizens of the Russian Federation, detained, or convicted in Ukraine for crimes against the state of Ukraine, and left without an official response of the Russian side”, – stated in photocopies of a letter Denisova to Moskalkova.
In a letter to the Ukrainian Ombudsman also noted that Ukraine expects “a positive response the Russian side expressed by the representatives of Ukraine in the pipeline a proposal to hold the next meeting of the humanitarian sub-group of the TAG in Minsk with the participation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on human rights and the Commissioner for human rights in the Russian Federation to discuss the issues of organizing humanitarian visits to check the content of the detained persons and the movement of prisoners from prison in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions”.
As reported UNN, Russia still has not provided a response to the proposal to transfer her 36-held Russians in Ukraine.
