KIEV. March 28. UNN. During the week March 19-25, Ukraine recorded one death from the flu in the Odessa region year-old child died. This is stated in the newsletter “Influenza and SARS in Ukraine” for the 12th week, reports UNN.
“In the reporting week in the Odessa region was fatal case of influenza A (H1N1) pdm09 (child, 1 year)”, – stated in the Bulletin.
During the reporting week in Ukraine with flu and SARS ill 200 305 persons, of which 64.1% of children under 17 years.
It is noted that intense with a prevalence rate of 516,2 per 100 thousand population, which is 9.4% less than the epidemic threshold in Ukraine.
Compared with the previous week growth of morbidity among adults and children fell by 12.8% and 6.2% respectively.
In Ukraine, the epidemic threshold is not exceeded, however, in some regions – Zhytomyr, Chernivtsi and Zakarpattya – observed excess of a week epidemic threshold of 4.7%, 8% and 1.1%.
Were hospitalized 3.3% of the total number of cases that at the level of last week. Most hospitalized children 0-4 years, and less of those over 65 years.
