Due to the lifting of sanctions with Ivanyushchenko Ukraine lost UAH 5.4 billion
Uncategorized March 6, 2017After the lifting of sanctions with the colleague Victor Yanukovych of Yury Ivanyushchenko Ukraine has forever lost the opportunity to return to the state budget almost UAH 5.4 billion. This is stated in the message of the Center of counteraction of corruption (CPC).
“The price shot of sanctions, estimated by activists, is at the current exchange rate of the NBU, almost 5.4 billion UAH”, – is told in the message.
The CPC claim that the Prosecutor General’s office opened proceedings on Ivanyushchenko only after the group began to write statements about the crime and “get them to investigate economic crimes Yura enakiyevsky”.
“It was necessary to maintain sanctions is to show the Europeans of the suspicion of corruption-related crimes,” said Daria kaleniuk from CTC.
In her words, the inaction of the current Deputy Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko Yuriy Stolyarchuka, who had the case in other General prosecutors, led to the fact that the case was closed, and the grounds for the extension of the sanctions disappeared.
The CPC recalled that, according to the head of the Department of special investigations Sergei Gorbatyukin the framework of criminal proceedings in the case Ivanyushchenko “were arrested 1.8 million Swiss francs, $30 million in Latvia, and $575 thousand in Monaco.”
“According to the CPC, law enforcement authorities in Switzerland and Monaco summarily arrested significantly more – about $200 million in the accounts of companies Ivanyushchenko”, – stated in the message.
After the lifting of sanctions, say the CTC, the ability to return the money to the budget of Ukraine lost forever.

On 2 March the European Union decided to extend sanctions against Yanukovych and his entourage for another year, but also decided to lift sanctions against Ivanyushchenko.
February 28, Lutsenko saidthat Ukraine’s Supreme court without notice to the Prosecutor General’s office decided to close all cases against Ivanyushchenko. The Supreme court shifted the blame for the closure on Ivanyushchenko to the Prosecutor General’s office.
In January 2015, the Ministry of interior announced Ivanyushchenko wanted. The ex-MP is suspected of committing a crime under part 5 of article 191 of the Criminal code (misappropriation, embezzlement of property in especially large sizes).
