Turkey will continue to live in a state of emergency
State of emergency extended for sixth time
The authorities of Turkey decided for the sixth time to extend the state of emergency.
This is reported by the world media, citing Hurriyet.
“From 19 January 2018, the state of emergency in Turkey will be extended for another three months,” — said Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Bekir bozdag.
According to him, this decision is prudent given the serious threats and risks facing the country at present.
Recall that the first state of emergency was introduced in Turkey on 20 July 2016 after a failed coup attempt. Then during the riots in Ankara killed at least 250 people, more than 50 thousand were arrested.
