In Odessa the police detained the crew of an emergency: medics were drunk
Uncategorized January 17, 2018Yesterday, January 16, the police detained the ambulance, which arrived on a call in a drunken state. This was announced by adviser to the chief of the Department of Ukraine in Odessa region Ruslan Forostyak in in Facebook.
“Around 21:30 in the Department of national police of the Odessa region received a message that near the train station walks a citizen in a poor condition, half-naked in the freezing night, and with speech disorders,” said Forostyak.
According to him, arrived at the scene the crew of the patrol police, the police learned that the man is sick and called an ambulance.
“After a while the patrol saw the bus stop at the station drove up to the ambulance and stopped,” said Forostyak.
A police officer went to the doctors and explained where they need to drive, however, the ambulance did not budge.
“After 20 minutes of waiting, the police again approached the carriage, and quite clearly explained where to drive, then the ambulance turned around and arrived at the place where the doctors stated the death of a citizen,” said Forostyak.
Forostyak stressed that the police drew attention to the inappropriate behavior of the ambulance and the smell of alcohol.
“The team used foul language, tried to smoke in a public place and the carriage of an emergency”, he said. According to him, the doctors refused to comply with the lawful demands of the police, pushed and insulted them.
Given the situation, the police brought additional operatives who detained doctors. “After a forced examination confirmed that the doctor and the nurse were in a state of alcoholic intoxication. The paramedic – 2,22 ppm, the driver of the carriage was sober,” said Forostyak.
